Hearcules measures the noise you are currently exposed to, notifies you when you should take a break and helps to save your hearing.
It was created for musicians, people who attend concerts, work with loud machines or for anyone, who is often exposed to loud noise.
Hearing loss can result from damage to structures and/or nerve fibres in the inner ear that respond to sound and dont grow back once damaged. This type of hearing loss, termed “noise-induced hearing loss”, is usually caused by exposure to excessively loud sounds over an extended period and cannot be medically or surgically corrected.
An estimated 17% of adults between 20 and 69 have suffered permanent damage to their hearing from excessive exposure to noise.
